This afternoon I had a two hour intensive conversation class with Xenia … it drained me after four hours this morning. I enjoyed it and laughed a lot at least. Then after a 30 minute break it was off to the Museo del Bargello with four German students. Why am I the only English person on this course?
The trip was good as Maurizio is an excellent guide and teacher. The Bargello was the centre for the police and judiciary in the medieval period and also a prison and place of execution. Now it is a museum of general interest. Sculpture, painting, objets d’art; ivories, enamels, ceramics, armour and much more. An interesting place to visit. Now I will have a coffee and gelato to recover.
