Not ready to leave

Cristina and I

I have packed and am ready to leave. I really loved it here and will miss Cristina and her family. It’s been one of the best experiences I have ever had. Breakfast on the terrace with the smell of flower and the sound of the swallows in the sunshine I shall always remember and the people were so friendly and the place so beautiful. My classmates were funny and witty and we had some great lunches together. I think I have made a few new friends. The teachers were excellent and so helpful to beginners. I am leaving with my certificate! I’m beginning to think a little in Italian too which I think is a very good sign. There is no doubt that I have learned a lot in two weeks …. About Italy, Italian and about myself too. I think I have gained confidence.

I was just beginning to feel at home and to find my way around the city. I’ve visited some wonderful buildings and taken in some beautiful art. I am thinking I will book a one month course in October as a start to my investigation of Italy. But now it’s time to move on and make my way to Paris where I will meet Cedric for a few days before returning home so my trip is not quite over! I look forward to a few days wandering.
