Escape to myself

Well I start my last day in Europe before I leave for London this afternoon. before I go I’m going to visit an exhibition of Philippe Starck the designer at the Carnavalet Museum nearby.. the whole experience has been wonderful. The first couple of days in Paris was lovely and I enjoyed renewing my acquaintance with a beautiful city. The course in Florence was an amazing experience and I met some great people there. These last few days in Paris with C were particularly delightful. He is an amusing g and loving friend and I’m fortunate to have him in my life. We’ve had some great times doing very little of consequence. Yesterday we completed 10 miles! Later it will be time to be reunited with family and friends and plan my next escape.

Exposition Philippe Starck … Paris reimagined

I have a couple of things designed by Philippe Starck including two weird stools. He is a Parisian born and bred and a promoter of “Pataphysique”, the science of imaginary solutions. He has created projects all over Paris and this exhibition combines the fact and fiction of the city; he renders the impossible as true. His projects included les Bain Douche, a cult 80s nightclub, Cafe Costas, Caffe Stern and the Photobooth in the Metro
