Sinebrychoff Museum Helsinki

This is a rather good museum. Set in the home of a nineteenth century brewer and next to the Brewery it is redolent of the second empire period and furnished as such. The main salon has a fabulous suite of furniture.

The art collection is excellent and is particularly strong in Dutch golden age paintings; Rembrandt, Breugels I and II , Jan Steen, Brouwer and others are represented by good works. The collection of miniatures is outstanding. There also icons and works by Cranach. There are even works by Reynolds, Raeburn and Kauffman. Hits a great collection and well worth a visit.
