A moving and arresting exhibition covering her work from the 30s to the 50s. Her eye was phenomenal and her technique admirable. from her early work with Vogue through her Surrealist work with Man Ray, wartime photography in London and documentation of the devastating aftermath of the war at Dachau and Buchenwald and her harrowing pictures of post war Europe. Curious, unflinching, transgressive these are incredible pictures. The exhibition enabled you to see the continuity of her vision in many milieux and her intense observation of society between and during the war. This is especially important at this time of international upheaval. I recommend it. Some photographs are moving and shocking and it would be invidious to post them here.
