Escape to myself

I e arrived in Helsinki. Bustling and interesting. I’m loving some of the Victorian and thirties architecture. It’s hot and sunny … 24 degrees. I e booked into the hostel and found my bunk … it seems fine. It’s A very boho neighbourhood near the city centre surrounded by cool bars. I’ll go out exploring this evening. Saila has already given me a recommendation for a roof top bar nearby so I’ll check that out too. This evening I’ll begin to make sense of the city and plan some sightseeing.

I’m now at the bar … drinking Finnish gin and tonic (really, really good ). The views are spectacular across the city to the Baltic Sea.
