This afternoon I visited an impressionist exhibition at the Museum. It was wonderful telling the story of the beginnings of Impressionism. In 1874 the artists who were excluded from the traditional Salon decided to mount their own … The Salon de Refusees. It was the first coming together of artists we now know as Impressionists. The exhibition showed clearly the break In artistic expression. I loved it.

I’m sharing with a lovely trans woman in the hostel. Charming and sweet she opened my eyes to the difficulties she faced. This is the beauty of travel. Widening horizons and challenging perceptions. We had a great time this evening drinking limoncello spritz. a great evening.
