I arrived here last night from Berlin. Train fine and was on time. At first I couldn’t find the hostel as it had a tiny entrance but all was well. Good staff, nice dorm and my view is to the town hall on the main square.

Wroclaw is pleasant enough but maybe doesn’t live up to the hype. I’ve been exploring: cathedral island, the Botanical Gardens and the Old Town l. Wroclaw is a very green city; tree covered avenues and parks for strolling, the river. It’s very pleasant. Found a nice little cafe for lunch.Lot’s of UK visitors. Is it a cheap flight?

The Botanical gardens were beautifully cared for and the autumn colours added to the peaceful atmosphere. There were some lovely cactus houses.

The old town made for pleasant wandering but the hostel itself is pretty quiet, a change from Berlin which was so friendly.

However I’m enjoying my time here and tomorrow will try and fins the “alternative district” of Nadodrze which sounds chilled.
